1. Introduction 

Titanium perforated tubes are made of titanium punch sheets with pickling surface and great performance. They are perfect for those wanting to make a custom muffler section with a varying body length and body diameter. It is cost-efficient solution for custom performance exhaust and muffler applications. With great resistant to corrosion, titanium perforated tube can be resistant to corrosion and rust than steel perforated tube. It can greatly improve their service time and recyclability.

The perforated punch tube is generally suited for use within exhaust silencers allowing exhaust noise through the perforations which is absorbed by the wadding installed between the tube and silencer casing. As the silencer box itself is 'packed' the exhaust gas pressure and rate it passes through the box itself are maintained.

Couple with muffler end caps, muffler bodies, transition reducers, other tubing sizes for a unique muffler build. You can choose any kind to suit your special purpose.

2. Materials

CP2 Titanium (Gr.2) is pure titanium and is the most widely used titanium alloy in all product forms for industrial service because of moderate strength and excellent corrosion resistance and formability.

Compared to the other grades of commercially pure titanium, Grade 2 is slightly weaker than Grade 3, but stronger than Grade 1 and equally resistant to corrosion. Grade 2 offers excellent balance of moderate strength and reasonable ductility. Titanium Grade 2 can operate in continuous service up to 425°C and in intermittent service up to 540°C. This material is also non-magnetic.

4. Application

Titanium perforated tubes are widely used in race exhaust system, turbo systems, exhaust intake, filtration systems for racing enthusiasts and fabricators, petrochemical, oil and gas, decorative architectural purposes and so on.

5. Process

Titanium perforated tubes are precision laser cut from Grade 2 Titanium sheets using a CNC machine in a qualified facility to ensure that the size is error-free and free of defects. After the cutting process, they will be punched and welded to perforated tubes. Then they will be pickling to ensure a clean finish on the ends and exterior and interior surfaces. Finally they are ultrasonically cleaned to provide a ready to weld solution right out of the package.
