1.Introduction

Titanium mandrel bends are made of titanium seamless tubes with polished surface and great performance. It is a cost effective solution for high performance exhaust and downpipe applications. It cannot only make your exhaust more beautiful, but also make your exhaust with better performance by reducing the welding. SUPERBTI eliminates the difficulty and potential material waste from trying to bend your own titanium tube into mandrels for fabricating bends.

SUPRBTI titanium mandrel bends have a 1mm (0.039”)/1.2mm (0.047”) wall thickness to work perfectly with our corresponding tubing. 45° and 90° mandrel bends are available in 1.5D across all OD and wall thickness ranges.

Titanium mandrel bends bent from thin-wall CP-1(Gr.1), so it owns a lighter weight and will bring a boom sounds for car. It will drastically reduce the fabrication time needed for producing a full titanium exhaust system when pie cuts become too time consuming.

2. Materials

CP1 Titanium (Gr.1) is the first choice for high performance exhaust systems with corrosive resistance, including both wet and dry hot gases.

It is one of the strongest grades of all commercially pure titanium, with extreme strength and toughness with excellent corrosive resistance. It is competitive with stainless steel in regard to corrosive resistance but offers a significantly lighter weight due to the low density of titanium.

5. Process

Titanium mandrel bends are extruded from thin wall Grade 1 Titanium. They are precision bent using a CNC mandrel bender in a qualified facility to ensure that the degree and centerline radius is consistent and free of defects. Each mandrel is individually bent.

After the bending process is completed each mandrel bend is then de-burred and polished to ensure a clean finish on the ends and exterior and interior surfaces.

Finally they are ultrasonically cleaned to provide a ready to weld solution right out of the package.
